Nursery

We painted the Nursery this past weekend and it turned out beautifully! I am still working on getting some things for the walls. I have ordered her wall letters to go above the changing table and my dad is painting a star mirror that I already had that will go above her dresser. I am also getting her lamp shade monogrammed. I will post more pictures when all that is completed! I have also been asked to post more pictures of my growing belly....so here it is!

Daddy

Bennett has been moving around a lot more these days and Chris got to feel her move for the first time Wednesday night! I also wanted to post how proud I am of my husband. Chris has lost a little over 30 pounds and still going! He looks great and said he feels a lot better as well. Now I have a lot to live up to after Bennett arrives, huh????

Update

I had a doctor appointment May 1st. My BP was 70/100 and I have gained 12 pounds total. Bennett's heart rate was in the 150's and everything measured right on time! Chris picked up the nursery furniture Friday and I have the paint and the nursery bedding. I hope to have the nursery painted by the end of May (we'll see). My mom and dad bought Bennett her first piggy bank this past weekend and dad put her first quarter in it. They also bought her a "pickle" (a tiny little baby blanket for her to carry around) to match (lime green with white polka dots). Here is the baby bedding we chose and we are using white furniture and hot pink paint for the walls.

Confirmation

It was confirmed.....we are having a little Miss Bennett Claire Collins! She weighed a whole 7oz during our visit Tuesday morning and her heart rate was 144. She was sleeping during the ultrasound and the tech asked which one of us slept with our hands above our head (that would be Chris!) because Bennett was sleeping the exact same way! I have not gained any more weight but the doctor was not at all worried! We had the blood work done to check chromosome levels and check for neural tube defects and should get those results back soon. I just finished ordering the crib bedding and Little Miss Bennett will be sleeping in style with her hot pink and green Giggles bedding. Chris and I went this morning on our way back from Greenville (more about the concert in just a bit) to register at Babies R Us....Can we say overwhelming!!!!

The Concert....was awesome....and the fans with their ripped jeans were very entertaining! Bennett will come out singing "I'm Hot, Sticky Sweet, From My Head, To My Feet, Yeah!" She will be such a Diva!

Movement????

I felt a really strange sensation about 2pm this afternoon. It was on the right side but it was sort of high up. It felt like really quick thumping or like bubbles/popcorn popping. Could it be the baby so early????

It's A Girl....Maybe!

I had some light spotting on Thursday so I called the doctor just to be on the safe side. They asked me to come in for an ultrasound. Chris met me at the doctor's office that afternoon. Thankfully everything was A. Okay! The baby was breached so the ultrasound tech was having a hard time getting a good picture. She said she was "fairly certain" it was a girl but made me promise not to go shopping until after our regular scheduled ultrasound on April 1st. I do not know which is worse, not knowing at all for the next 10 days or thinking you know and not being 100% sure! I am in agony!

Sickness In the 2nd Trimester!?!

I thought nausea and vomiting was supposed to get better after the first trimester! I got physically sick for the first time last Saturday night after the St. Patty's Day festival in five points. And I wasn't even drinking! How fair is that!?
